you are the sky, open and relentless and ever changing but somehow still the same.
you are a passing train a favorite kind of incense the rustling worrying sounds the trees make on a windy day.
the plucking of guitar strings chords and open notes on a roadtrip endless road stretched out in front of the car that means you are free to do as you please.
the smell of an old book torn and faded but perfect. you are the smell of ozone before the rains come.

i hear a storm coming or, rather, feel it. at the moment
it's just a slight pitter-patter of rain but soon it will break loose and drown the sky
with inky blotches of thunderclouds i can feel the electricity in the air already. a train is here, passing through not to stop here, of course. good things don't stay here. friends, trains, people who shouldn't

It is going to get better. Indeed, it will. You will take walks in the rain and smile when you see dandelions and notice how the wind feels on your face when you swing on a playground that everyone says you're too old for. You'll keep your windows open when the rains come just to smell the ozone, and smile when you remember how a certain someone always makes you do just that.
